What happens to what you send.

This describes what this site actually does, not what a template says. It is short on purpose, and you should be able to read all of it.

  1. 01Who we are

Optaimi Ltd, registered in England and Wales, is the data controller for this site. If you want to talk to a person about any of this, email adam@optaimi.com. That address reaches the founder, not a queue.

The formal details, gathered here because a company website is required to state them: Optaimi Ltd, company number 16810118, registered in England and Wales, registered office 150 Yew Tree Drive, Blackburn, England, BB2 7DJ.

  2. 02What we collect, and why

The enquiry form asks for six things: your company name, your name, your email address, which product you are interested in, what you want agents doing, and whether you can self-host. That is the whole list. There is no account to create and no tracking pixel behind the submit button.

We use those answers for one thing: to write back to you within 24 hours with a recommendation and a price. The lawful basis is legitimate interest, specifically responding to a business enquiry you chose to send us.

The form also carries one hidden field that people never see. Automated submissions tend to fill it in. Anything that does is discarded on arrival and never forwarded anywhere.

  3. 03Where it goes

The site is hosted on Vercel, which serves the pages and runs the small piece of server code behind the form. Vercel is a US company and processes the request on our behalf.

From there the enquiry is forwarded once, to our own workflow system, which posts it into a private Slack channel that we read. Slack processes it as part of that. That is the entire chain: your browser, Vercel, our workflow system, our Slack.

Vercel and Slack are both US companies, so part of that chain sits outside the UK.

One honest footnote. Like any host, Vercel keeps short-lived server logs, and if the forwarding step is ever unavailable your enquiry is written to those logs rather than lost. It is a fallback, not a second copy we keep on purpose, and we treat anything in it the same way as everything else here.

It does not go anywhere else. There is no CRM, no mailing list, no advertising platform, and no lead-enrichment service. We do not sell it and we do not share it with anyone outside that chain.

  4. 04How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for no longer than 12 months. If a piece of work comes out of an enquiry, the records that belong to that engagement are kept under the agreement we sign for it, separately from this.

You can ask us to delete an enquiry sooner. Email adam@optaimi.com and it goes.

  5. 05Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

We do count page views, using Vercel Web Analytics. It works without cookies: a visit is identified by a hash of the incoming request that is discarded within 24 hours, so it cannot follow you between days or to any other site. What we see is aggregate, and we cannot pick you out of it.

There is nothing else loading from anywhere else. The fonts are served from this domain rather than from Google, every image comes from this domain, and there are no advertising, social or session-recording scripts on any page.

  6. 06Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it at all. Email adam@optaimi.com and you get an answer within 24 hours, the same as any other enquiry.

If you are not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk. You do not have to come to us first, though we would rather you did so we can fix it.
